HELLO HL BIOLOGY STUDENTS!!!
NOTE - Your IB Bio text does not go into the detail we require of you! There are many files, notes, powerpoints posted below to help you! As well their are links to many animations. It is suggested you watch the video's, animations and do the simulation exercises and all the practice sheets.

8.2 Cellular Respiration
Watch --> Crash Course - Cellular Respiration Video
What you need to know for Cellular Respiration! Substrate level vs oxidative phosporylation, structure of ATP, reduction and oxidation, structure of a mitochondrion Glycolysis Review notes/PPT on glyclolysis section of textbook chapter posted. (below) Know the names of each compound in the first 6 steps and pyruvate. You should know exactly where in the process ATP is used and produced, where phosphorylation happens, where NADH is produced! Names of enzymes are not neccessary. Complete --> glycolysis questions Pyruvate oxidation (link reaction) & Krebs Cycle. Review notes/PPT. Read the appropriate section in the textbook pages. Names of the intermediates in the Krebs Cycle are expected. You should know where in the cycle NADH, FADH2, ATP (by GTP production) and CO2 are made Complete --> Glycolysis & Krebs cycle sheet. Electron Tranport Chain. Structure/function of mitochondria Review notes/PPT. Read the appropriate section in the textbook pages. Be able to describe the role of electron carriers and membrane proteins in the production of ATP. Describe chemiosmosis and the production of ATP. Idenify the final electron acceptor. Complete --> electron transport chain worksheet and cellular respiration review sheet KAHOOT REVIEW!! https://play.kahoot.it/#/k/75293d2b-c0a8-47a9-920a-af096b0eab8a PHOTOSYNTHESIS - Use the link to watch the video on photosynthesis and to answer the questions. You will have to make yourself a Ted-Ed account. Make sure you use your real name. http://ed.ted.com/on/ihfBKLFE More Videos's & Links!
